According to the learned advocate, there has hardly been any progress in the trial, as such, the petitioner may be enlarged on bail on any stringent condition. Learned advocate for the State submits that the prosecution intends to examine five more witnesses. Having considered the nature of the offence for which the petitioner has been charge-sheeted and the materials appearing in the case diary, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail at this stage. 2 Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected. However, the learned trial court would ensure that the evidence of the five witnesses proposed to be examined by the prosecution is complete within six months from the next date. Accordingly, CRM(M) 411 of 2026 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.
