Also Page No.# 2/2 heard Mr. P. Borthakur, the Addl. Public Prosecutor, Assam. 2. This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 whereby the petitioner Ziabur Rahman has prayed for releasing him on bail after he was arrested in Laluk P.S. Case No.63/2026. 3. Fake Indian currency notes having the value of ₹10,50,000/- was recovered from the house of the present petitioner. 4. Mr. Ahmed has contended that somebody else had kept those currency notes in his house and the petitioner has no connection with the said currency notes. 5. Mr. Borthakur has submitted that when those currency notes were seized, the present petitioner had put his signature in the seizure list. According to Mr. Borthakur, it goes to show that those fake currency notes were recovered from the possession of the present petitioner. 6. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsels for both sides. 7. The Case Diary shows that the fake currency notes were recovered from the possession of the present petitioner. This is a serious economic offence. The investigation of the case is going on. This Court is of the opinion that the petitioner does not deserve to be released on bail at this stage. Therefore, his bail application is dismissed and disposed of accordingly. Case Diary shall be returned. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
