For the State : A.P.P. --- 02/21.04.2026 Heard Mr. Vikash Kumar, learned counsel for the appellant and learned A.P.P. This appeal is directed against the order dated 02.02.2026 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge- II, Chatra in B.P. No. 813/2025 in connection with Piparwar P.S. Case No. 49/2023, whereby and whereunder, the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected. It has been alleged that several extremists were apprehended by the Police and from their possession, arms and ammunitions and other articles were recovered. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the appellant that though the appellant is named in the FIR, but his name has transpired on the confessional statement of the apprehended accused. Learned counsel submits that several co-accused persons have been granted bail in Cr. Appeal (DB) No. 208 of 2024, Cr. Appeal (DB) No. 706 of 2024 and Cr. Appeal (DB) No. 856 of 2024. Learned counsel adds that the appellant is in custody since 06.12.2025. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant. Neutral Citation (2026:JHHC:11526-DB) 2 Regard being had to the manner of implication of the appellant and the fact that several co-accused persons have been granted bail as noted above, we while setting aside the order dated 02.02.2026 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-II, Chatra in B.P. No. 813/2025 in connection with Piparwar P.S. Case No. 49/2023 direct that the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Chatra.
