This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner on the premise that the petitioner has been working with respondent no.1-Nagar Palika Parishad, Ramnagar since 2011-12 – for the last 14 years – as a Sweeper. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has served continuously without any break in his service. He further submits that the work and duties performed by the petitioners are perennial in nature and his services are very much required by the respondent no.1-Nagar Palika Parishad, Ramnagar. 3. The petitioner has moved this writ petition seeking regularization as a Sweeper with the respondent no.1-Nagar Palika Parishad, Ramnagar and to pay minimum pay-scale as is being paid to the regular employees on the post of Sweeper on the principle of ‘equal pay for equal work’ and other consequential benefits. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for the said relief petitioner has moved a representation dated 21.02.2026, annexure no.2 to the writ petition, to 1 2026:UHC:4801 the respondent no.1-Nagar Palika Parishad, Ramnagar. He further submits that ends of justice would be met if the respondent no.1-Nagar Palika Parishad, Ramnagar, is directed to decide representation of the petitioner by making a well reasoned and speaking order considering long standing service of the petitioner with respondent no.1-Nagar Palika Parishad, Ramnagar. 5. The prayer so made by learned counsel for the petitioner is not opposed by learned counsel for the respondents. 6. Accordingly writ petition is finally disposed of with a direction to respondent no.1-Nagar Palika Parishad, Ramnagar, to decide representation of the petitioner dated 21.02.2026, annexure no.2 to the writ petition, within a period of six weeks’ from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
