For Petitioner(s): Mr.C.Palanisamy For Respondent(s): Mr.D.Ravichander,SGP ORDER This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the third respondent to survey and sub divide the lands, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition and for issuance of separate patta in the name of the petitioner, based on the petitioner’s online application dated 30.01.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2. The petitioner claims that he is the owner of the property, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition. He had submitted an online application on 30.01.2026 to the respondents seeking for survey and sub division of the lands, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition and for issuance of separate patta in his name. Since the same has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3.Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 8273 of 2026 4.No prejudice will be caused to the third respondent if the said authority is directed to consider the online application dated 30.01.2026 submitted by the petitioner seeking for survey and sub division of the lands, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition for issuance of separate patta, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections if any from the neighbouring land owners as well as any other party whom the third respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by issuing the following directions: a)The third respondent is directed to survey and sub divide the lands, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order; b) If the petitioner is eligible for the issuance of separate patta in his name for the property surveyed and sub divided by the respondents, the third respondent shall issue patta for the property in favour of the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date when the survey and sub division of the lands are completed after hearing all the necessary parties; Consequently, connected WMP is closed.
