This interlocutory application is preferred by the applicant for staying the operation of the impugned judgment and award dated 16.03.2026, passed by the learned Tribunal, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT), Cachar, Silchar, in MAC Case No.2464/2023 till disposal of the connected appeal. Mr. Barman submits that the connected appeal has already been admitted for hearing and the record has also been called for from the learned Tribunal and as such, there is a requirement for staying the operation of the impugned judgment and award till disposal of the appeal. It appears that the connected appeal has already been admitted for hearing and the record has been called for and in that view of the matter, the impugned judgment and award, dated 16.03.2026, stands stayed till disposal of the connected appeal, subject however, to depositing of 50% of the liability imposed, by the applicant before the Page No.# 3/3 Registry of this Court, within a period of 2(two) months from today.
