Purohit, Advocate holding brief of Mr. Sandeep Kothari, learned counsel for the respondent-Nagar Palika Parishad. 4. Nagar Palika Parishad, Muni-Ki-Reti, District Tehri Garhwal had invited bid for award of parking contract. According to petitioner, he submitted bid and was found to be the highest bidder. Nagar Palika Parishad, however, cancelled the tender process. Challenging the cancellation order, petitioner filed this writ petition in 2025. 5. No interim order was passed in the writ petition. 6. Today, when the matter is called out, learned counsel for the Nagar Palika Parishad submits that the relief, as claimed by petitioner in the writ petition, do not survive, as the contact of parking was to be given only for one year and the term of parking contract is over. He thus submits that writ petition has now become infructuous. 7. We find substance in the said submission. Even otherwise also, the employer has every right to cancel the tender process and merely because bids 2026:UHC:4740-DB were received pursuant to tender notice does not mean that the tender has to be awarded to one of the bidders. 8.
