08.04.2026 Court No.28 Item No.92 tbsr Reject CRM (A) 772 of 2026 In Re: - An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Raghunathganj P.S. Case No.785 of 2025 dated 16.06.2025 under Sections 329(4)/117(2)/109(1)/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita
2023. And In the matter of: Rahil Sk. @ Rahin Sk. @ Rahil & Anr. ….Petitioners. Mr. Mrityunjoy Chatterjee Ms. Suchismita Chakraborty
…for the petitioners Mr. Kaushik Kundu Mr. Karan Bapuli
… for the State
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits as follows. The petitioners have been falsely implicated in this case. 14 persons have been named as accused, although injuries were allegedly inflicted only on three victims.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He relies on the injury reports, one of which records the infliction of grievous injury. He relies on the statements of victims as well as the statements of local witnesses.
It appears that several injuries were inflicted on the victims.
Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.
The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected.
Urgent photostat certified copies of this order may be delivered to the learned Advocates for the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all formalities.
