JUSTICE RAVI V HOSMANI ORAL ORDER In view of nature of relief sought, Writ Petition is taken up for disposal. 2. Writ Petition is filed seeking following relief: "Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing 2nd respondent to give effect to the orders of the 1st respondent passed in Sl.No.128 subject no.14/2024-25 dated 01.10.2024 marked under Annexure-B and to convene a timings conference and revise the timings of the petitioner's permit no.PST P 77/1999-2000 valid upto 06.02.2030 on the route between Amithkal to Manchanabele and back as early as possible preferably within a period of 2 weeks from the date of receipt of the order." 3. Sri B.R.Sundara Raja Gupta, learned counsel for petitioner submitted that petitioner is a holder of a stage carriage permit bearing no.PST P 77/1999-2000 valid upto 06.02.2030 and authorized to operate on route between Amithkal to Manchanabele and back. It was submitted, petitioner had filed application for variation of condition of - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:10261 WP No. 5541 of 2026 permit by way of curtailment and revision of timings and that said application was listed for consideration before 1st respondent on 24.07.2024 in subject no.14/2024-25 at Sl.no.128, wherein a decision was taken on 01.10.2024 to direct conduct of timing conference, afford opportunity to permit holders and decide objections and to revise timings of petitioner's service as per Annexure-B. It was submitted, though respondent no.2 was under obligation to give effect to said direction, no further action was taken, despite lapse of sufficient time. Therefore, petitioner was constrained to approach this Court. 4. On other hand, learned AGA for respondents while opposing writ petition submitted if direction was subsisting, same would be taken note of and appropriate orders would be passed. 5. Heard learned counsel and perused Writ Petition. 6. From above, only relief sought is for a writ of mandamus directing respondent no.2 to give effect to order passed by respondent no.1 as per Annexure-B. Since sufficient time has lapsed after passing of direction at Annexure-B, it is - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:10261 WP No. 5541 of 2026 found appropriate to dispose of Writ Petition by directing respondent no.2 to take appropriate decision in view of direction at Annexure-B, in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from today.
