Pursuant to the order dated 17th March, 2026, the petitioner submits that the instant writ petition may be disposed of in view of certain guidelines to be framed by this Court. 2. Learned AAG submits that it is an on going process and the grievance of the writ petitioner has already been redressed by taking cognizance of vehicles plying unauthorisedly on the said route. 3. In view of the above, I find that the writ petition has been rendered infructuous since the Law Enforcement Agencies have already taken stringent measures against vehicles plying illegally on the routes mentioned in paragraphs 9 and 10 of the said writ petition. 4. Having heard the parties and upon perusing the records, I direct the respondent no. 10 with the assistance of the Motor Vehicle Inspectors and also the concerned police authorities as and when required to keep strict vigil over the issue of illegal plying of vehicles on the route in question. The Department is sustaining substantial amount of loss and its interest are being prejudiced by permitting such illegal plying of vehicles on the said route. It is directed that the entire area shall be kept under surveillance at intermittent points in order to track the illegal plying of vehicles. Appropriate measures shall be adopted to monitor and prevent such unauthorized operations. 5. In view of the above directions the writ petition being WPA 28822 of 2025 is disposed of. 6. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned counsel for the parties on usual undertakings. 7. Since no affidavits have been filed the allegations made in the writ petition shall be deemed to have been denied and not admitted. ( Smita Das De, J.) 2
