Heard Mr. L R Mazumder, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. P Borthakur, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State of Assam as well as Mr.B Phukan, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent No.2.
2. This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, whereby the petitioner Abu Bakkar Siddique has prayed for releasing him on bail after he was arrested in
Page No.# 2/2 connection with Hajo P.S. Case No. 117/2026.
3. 11.34 grams of narcotic drugs was recovered from the possession of the petitioner.
4. Today is the 60th day of detention of the petitioner in custody and no charge sheet has been filed till now.
5. Therefore, the petitioner is entitled to default bail.
6. It is hereby directed that the petitioner Abu Bakkar Siddique is allowed to go on bail of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Hajo.
