And In the matter of : Subham Kumar ……Petitioner. Mr. Mrityunjoy Chatterjee Mrs. Suchismita Chakraborty ……for the Petitioner. Mr. Ranabir Roy Chowdhury Mr. Md. Y.A. Ismail ……for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 8 months. There are hardly any materials so far as the present petitioner is concerned and he has been unnecessarily detained. So far as the other accused persons are concerned, according to the petitioner, there is no relation of the petitioner with such accused persons and even there are no materials which have been collected by the investigating agency in support of the contentions which have been placed. Learned advocate for the State submits that petitioner’s involvement has been traced in respect of facilitating the 2 principal offender so far as his access in KYC for 40 accounts are concerned. Be that as it may, the learned Trial Court is about to commence as date has been fixed for consideration of charges. Having considered the stage of the case, at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. State is directed to expedite the process before the Trial Court. Accordingly, CRM (M) 438 of 2026 is dismissed at this stage. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
