3. Instant petitions under Section 482 BNSS are filed for pre-arrest bail of the petitioners in connection with Basta P.S. Case No.466 of 2025 corresponding to C.T. Case No.993 of 2025 pending in the file of learned J.M.F.C., Basta on the grounds stated therein. 4. In course of hearing, Mr. Panda, learned counsel for the petitioners produced a copy of the order dated 18th December, 2025 in BLAPL No.12579 of 2025. It is submitted that the drivers of the alleged vehicles have been released on bail in the meantime. The further submission is that the petitioners are the owners of the vehicles in question. From the FIRs, it is made to understand that the vehicles were intercepted at the relevant point of time and found to have transported betel nuts. It has been alleged that no authority or any documents were produced with regard to the alleged transportation. The drivers have been granted bail in BLAPL No.12579 of 2025, as earlier stated. 5. Recorded the objection of the State. 6. Considering the submissions of learned counsel for the respective parties and the fact that the drivers of the vehicles in question have been released on bail and the petitioners happen to be the owners thereof and the allegation is that there was no such authority to transport the betel nuts in the vehicles, this Court, though, is not inclined to grant them pre-arrest bail but is of the view that all of them should be released on bail upon surrender before the court concerned with suitable conditions. 7. Accordingly, it is ordered. Page 3 of 3
