The petitioners allege that the property of the petitioners has been forcefully taken over by the authorities of the local Gram Panchayat. The petitioners submitted a representation dated January 27, 2026 before various authorities including the Block Development Officer, Amta-1. The learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that in spite of receipt of such representation, no decision on such representation has been communicated to the petitioners till date. Mr. Batabyal, learned advocate for the State submits that the decision of such representation shall be communicated to the petitioners within the time limit as may be fixed by this Court. Without entering into the merits of the claim made by the petitioners in the representation dated January 27, 2026, WPA 4881 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the Block Development Officer, Amta-1, being the respondent No.9 to consider the representation of the 2 petitioners dated January 27, 2026 and to dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners or his authorised representation and communicate the reasoned order to the petitioners as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order along with a copy of the representation dated January 27, 2026.
