The Court :- Appeal is at the behest of the Union of India and directed against an order dated January 19, 2026 passed in AP/4/2025. By the impugned order, the learned Single Judge held the petition under Section 34 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 filed by the appellant, to be barred under Section 34(3) thereof. The award was passed on April 5, 2024. Appellant received the award on April 12, 2024. The petition under Section 34 of the Act of 1996 was filed in January, 2025. The time line noted above obviously establishes that, the petition under Section 34 of the Act of 1996 was filed beyond the 90 days and a further period of 30 days from the date of receipt of the award on April 12, 2024. 2 Learned Single Judge, therefore, correctly dismissed the petition under Section 34 of the Act of 1996.
