In this petition, the petitioner has made a limited prayer to the extent of direction to the respondent No.1 - the Scrutiny Committee for Scheduled Tribe, Nagpur, to decide the caste claim of the petitioner belonging to the ‘Mana’ Scheduled Tribe. 2. The petitioner is a student appeared for the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MH-CET) examination and qualified in the same Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MH-CET) examination. Now, she is allotted seat with the College i.e. respondent No.2- Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagpur, from the ‘Scheduled Tribe’ category. Due to the pendency of the caste claim of the present petitioner, petitioner is unable to produce the same and therefore, there is a possibility of cancellation of her admission. 3. Now this aspect is already been considered by the State Government and the State Government by issuing notification extended period by three months to produce validity certificate. This benefit can be extended to the present petitioner also, considering the apprehension raised by the petitioner that her admission would be cancelled. 4. Perusal of the documents placed by the petitioner on record would shows that the petitioner has already admitted from the ‘Scheduled Tribe’ Category. There are various documents in support of her contention. 5. In view of that, we direct the respondent No.1- Committee to decide the caste claim within six months. 6. In the meantime, the respondent Nos.2 and 3 shall not cancel the admission of the petitioner. The admission of the present petitioner would be subject to the decision of the caste claim of the petitioner by the respondent No.1 – Scrutiny Committee. The petitioner shall not seek any equity on that ground. Prity
