Kom, learned counsel appeared on behalf of the applicant/ petitioner and Mr. Boboy Potsangbam, learned CGSC appeared on behalf of the respondents. [2] This order is to be read in continuation and in conjunction with the earlier proceeding dated 22-07-2026, which reads as under:- “Heard Mr. Serto T Kom, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. Boboy Potsangbam, learned C.G.S.C appearing for the respondents. MC(WP(C)) No. 204 of 2026 has been filed by the writ petitioner with a prayer for directing the respondents not to disturb the service of the petitioner till the disposal of the connected writ petition. It has been submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that on recommendation of a selection committee meeting held on 24.05.2012, the petitioner was initially appointed as Veterinary Officer in RIMS on contract basis for a period of 3(three) months with effect from the date she joined for duty. Thereafter, contract service of the petitioner was extended by the authority from time to time by issuing various orders and that the last extension order was issued on 02.03.2026 by the Deputy Director (Adm.), RIMS. The learned counsel submitted that the respondents have utilized service of the petitioner for more than 14 years and that the respondents are still utilizing the service of the petitioner till today. The learned counsel, accordingly, prays for passing interim order directing the respondents not to disturb the service of the petitioner during the pendency of the connected writ petition. Mr. Boboy Potsangbam, learned C.G.S.C appearing for the respondents submitted that he may be given a few days’ time to ascertain from the authorities as to whether the service of the petitioner is still utilized by the authorities and also to find out whether the period of contract service of other contract employees similarly situated with the petitioner has been extended or not after 30.06.2026. As prayed for by the learned C.G.S.C, list these cases again on 30.07.2026 for consideration of the prayer for passing interim order.” [3] Mr. Boboy Potsangbam, learned CGSC appearing for the respondents submitted that the period of contract service of the petitioner has been extended by the authorities w.e.f. 02-07-2026 to 31-10-2026 and a copy of the order issued by the Deputy Director (Admn.), RIMS dated 28-07-2026 is placed before this court. [4] Mr. Serto T. Kom, learned counsel appearing for the applicant fairly submitted that by the said order, the period of contract service of the petitioner has been extended. [5] In view of the submission made above, the present application has been rendered infructuous and the same is hereby closed.
