Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this petition, the petitioner has, inter alia, prayed for the following reliefs:- “a) Quash and set aside the impugned dated 18.07.2025 orders (Annexure P-6) passed by Collector Excise, Shimla, and order dated 06.09.2025 (Annexure P-7) passed by Financial Commissioner (Excise) upholding the withdrawal of L-14S sub-vend licence at Khera, Tehsil Sunni, District Shimla, H.P. in the interest of justice; b) Direct the respondents to either restore the licence or allot an alternative site for operationalizing the sub-vend L-14S during the licence period till 31.03.2026, enabling the petitioner to carry on its trade and business.” 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2026:HHC:817 2. When this case was taken up for consideration today, learned Counsel for the petitioner has drawn the attention of the Court to the order passed by the Financial Commissioner (Exercise), Himachal Pradesh, dated 06.09.2025 (Annexure P-7) and has submitted that in terms of this order, the present petitioner was granted liberty to submit a fresh application for operating sub-vend at an alternative location. Learned Counsel submits that as the petitioner has already filed such an application on 17.12.2025, this petition be disposed of with the direction that let said application filed by the petitioner be now decided by respondent No.3 on or before 15.01.2026 by affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner in accordance with law. 3. The petition stands disposed of, with the direction that the representation filed by the petitioner be decided by 15.01.2026 after hearing the petitioner.
