This writ petition has been filed for the grant of following relief:-
“(i) That the respondents may be directed to take immediate steps for acquisition of the land detailed in Annexure P-2 as per the provisions of law including the Rights to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.”
2. Case of the petitioners is that they are co-owners over the land comprised in Khata No.68 min, Khatauni No. 84

- 2 - min, Khasra No. 408, situated at Mohal Malehni, Tehsil Nalagargh, District Solan, H.P as depicted in the jamabandi for the year 2022-23. 3. Petitioners are with the grievance that the respondents have widened a road adjoining to their above described owned land and in that process, a major portion of land belonging to the petitioners, as depicted in Tatima Field Book (Annexure P-2) has been utilized for the construction of the road. Petitioners seek acquisition of their land allegedly utilized by the respondents for the construction of the road in accordance with law and consequent payment of compensation. 4. The writ petition does not disclose as to whether the petitioners ever represented to the respondents with their grievances. Therefore, at this stage, it will be in the interest of justice to reserve liberty to the petitioners to represent to the respondents No.2 & 3/Competent Authority with their grievances including prayer for demarcation of the land. In case such a representation is made by the petitioners within three weeks from today, the same shall be considered and decided by respondents No.2 & 3/Competent Authority
- 3 - in accordance with law, within six weeks thereafter, after verification as to whether any portion of the land of the petitioners has been utilized for the construction of the road. The writ petition to stand disposed of in the above terms so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
