Petitioner passed High School examination from Uttarakhand Board of School Education in the year 2026. According to him, his date of birth has been incorrectly transcribed as 05.01.2009, while his actual date of birth is 05.01.2011. 3. In support of this contention, petitioner has enclosed his birth certificate as well as transfer certificate in which his date of birth is mentioned as 05.01.2011. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is not responsible for this mistake and whatever mistake has crept in is either due to the school or due to mistake by the Board. 5. He relied upon the judgment rendered by Hon’ble Supreme Court in the case of Jigya Yadav (Minor) (through Guardian/Father Hari Singh) Vs. Central 2026:UHC:4658 Board of Secondary Education and others, reported as 2021 (7) SCC 535. 6. Mr. Virendra Singh Rawat, learned counsel appearing for the Board-respondent No. 1 submits that if petitioner makes representation for correction of his date of birth in the High School certificate and other documents, then his request shall be considered sympathetically. 7. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by permitting petitioner to make representation. If he makes representation along with supporting documents e.g. Transfer Certificate, Birth Certificate, Aadhaar Card, etc., his request shall be considered, as per law, by the competent authority in Uttarakhand Board of School Education, who shall thereafter pass necessary order, as per law, within eight weeks from date of receipt of such representation.
