Charge- sheet has been submitted. They are the husband and the son of the alleged victim. After 25 years of marriage, the lady committed suicide by consuming poison/corrosive substance. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State strongly opposes the prayer for bail. He relies on the statements of relatives of the victim and the post-mortem report. Considering the above, the other materials available in the case diary, the length of custody already suffered by the petitioners and the fact that charge sheet has been submitted, I am inclined to grant bail to the petitioners. Let the petitioners be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) each with two sureties of like 2 amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned ACJM, Chandannagar, Hooghly and also be subject to the conditions that the petitioners shall appear before the trial Court on every date of hearing and shall not intimidate witnesses or tamper with evidence in any manner whatsoever.
