The petitioner alleges that the property of the petitioner being RS and LR Plot No. 113, within Jayrampur, under Police Station Hogalberia in the District of Nadia, was utilized for the purpose of construction of a water tank. The petitioner alleges the said plot of land has been utilized, but till date, compensation has not been paid. The learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that a representation dated 7th April, 2025 has been submitted before the Assistant Engineer (Nadia), Public Health Engineer (Tehatta Sub-Division), Krishnagar, but till date, the decision on such representation has not been communicated to the petitioner. He further submits that the petitioner has been given an engagement on a temporary basis as a Valve Operator. Mr. De, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing on behalf of the State, submits that the decision on the representation dated 7th April, 2025 shall be communicated to the petitioner within the time limit as may be fixed by this Court. In the light of the submissions made by the respective parties, WPA 19122 of 2025, stands disposed of by directing the Assistant Engineer (Nadia), Public Heath Engineer (Tehatta Sub-Division), being the fifth respondent, to consider the representation dated 7th April, 2025 and to dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner or his authorized representative and communicate the reasoned order to the petitioner immediately thereafter. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order along with a copy of the representation dated April 7, 2025. It is, however, made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the claim made in this writ petition and all points are left open to be decided by the said respondent.
