By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief:- “A. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the respondents to forthwith grant and accord the petitioner his promotional posting against the duly sanctioned and subsisting vacant post of Junior Assistant in the office of the State Advisory Contract Labour Board, Uttarakhand, Dehradun, which continues to remain unfilled by any regular employee, strictly in accordance with the applicable service rules, statutory provisions, and settled principles of service jurisprudence.” 4. Learned State Counsel, however, submits that no one can claim posting at a particular place as a matter of right. He, however, submits that if petitioner has any grievance regarding place of posting, then he can approach the competent authority, by making representation. 5. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to the competent authority. If he makes representation within two weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken, as per law, within six weeks thereafter.
