Non-applicant(s) For Applicant : None For Non-applicant/State : Ms. Smriti Shrivastava, Panel Lawyer. Hon'ble Shri Ramesh Sinha , Chief Justice Order on Board 21.04.2026 1. This is an office reference. 2. This Court, vide order dated 17.10.2025 passed in MCRC No. 8439 of 2025, while rejecting the bail of the applicant, namely, Ashok Yadav had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of four months from the date of production of certified copy of this order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. The learned First Additional Sessions Judge, Additional Charge KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 Additional Sessions Judge (FTC) District-South Bastar Dantewada (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 01.04.2026 has requested for grant of one month’s time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that the case is presently fixed for recording of the statement of the accused, thereafter for defence evidence, final arguments and ultimately for pronouncement of judgment. It further reveals that due to continuous non-appearance of the medical witnesses, despite issuance of summons, bailable warrants and even arrest warrants from time to time, their evidence could be recorded only with difficulty and delay. Consequently, the trial could not be concluded within the stipulated period. Therefore, in the aforesaid facts and circumstances, it is most humbly prayed that a period of one month may graciously be granted for completion of the remaining proceedings, including recording of accused statement, defence evidence, final arguments and delivery of judgment. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/- (Ramesh Sinha) Chief Justice Kunal
