JUSTICE MRIDUL KUMAR KALITA ORDER 09.05.2026 This matter is put up before the National Lok Adalat. The applicants/claimants, namely, 1. Omar Ali@Amar Ali and 2.Jayda Bibi, are personally present before the Lok Adalat, along with their engaged counsel Mr. M. Talukdar. The insurance company is represented by Ms. Hena Haflongbar, Deputy Manager of the company. The claimants were originally awarded a compensation amount of Rs. 13,19,600/- along with an interest @ 7 % per annum by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Dhubri. Now the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement to pay an additional compensation amount of Rs. 80,000/- to the Page No.# 3/3 claimants/ applicants. In terms of the settlement arrived at between the parties, the insurance company shall deposit an additional amount of Rs. 80,000/- before the Registry of this court within a period of 45 days from the date of this order. Same shall be disbursed to the claimant after such deposit on due verification. This appeal is, accordingly, disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
