3. By way of the instant petition, the petitioner seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus thereby directing the respondent to release the petitioner on parole for a period of six weeks for re-establishing family and social ties.
4. Issue notice. The learned ASC accepts notice on behalf of the State.
5. The learned ASC informs this Court that the application for grant of parole was not addressed to the competent authority by the petitioner. This is a digitally signed order.
