Niranjan, Deputy Solicitor General of India – R1 LISA GILL, CJ: Issue sought to be raised in this writ petition filed purportedly in public interest is about fabrication and use of fake certificates particularly in the discipline of Judo, for securing appointments under Sports Category including Mega DSC-2025 notification, dated 01.05.2025. 2. Learned counsel for petitioner vehemently argues that despite various representations as well as documentary evidence provided to authorities, no 2 wp(pil)_170_2026 action has been taken. It is submitted that a complaint before learned Lokayukta has already been filed, but same cannot remedy the issue of taking action against those, who have secured appointments on the basis of such forged documents. 3. Learned counsel for respondents, on written instructions received from Regional Vigilance & Enforcement Officer, Tirupati, submits that upon receipt of petitioner’s representation, dated 20.02.2024, addressed to Director General, Vigilance and Enforcement, Vijayawada, an enquiry was directed to be conducted, however, petitioner, who attended proceedings on 24.05.2026, did not come forward to submit any documents to substantiate allegations raised. 4. This is refuted by learned counsel for petitioner, who submits that relevant facts along with certain documents had been placed before authorities. References made to various instances of alleged fake certificates and details of candidates in question are mentioned in writ petition itself. 5. We have heard learned counsel for parties. 6. At this stage, we direct that competent authority shall look into allegations as raised, instances as mentioned in writ petition, and documents as attached shall be considered by said authority and appropriate decision in 3 wppil_170_2026 the issue be taken expeditiously and positively within a period of four months, after affording opportunity to all concerned. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed.
