The Applicant is an accused in connection with FIR No. 0137 of 2025, registered under Sections 8/22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS Act) at Police Station Pulbhatta, District Udham Singh Nagar. 4. Learned counsel for the Applicant submits that the present Short-Term Bail Application has been filed seeking bail for a limited period in order to enable the Applicant to attend the marriage ceremony of a close family member. A copy of the marriage invitation card has been annexed as Annexure No. 2 to the application. 5. Considering the overall facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the view that the request made by the Applicant deserves to be accepted. 6. Accordingly, the Short-Term Bail Application is allowed. The Applicant is directed to be released on short-term bail for a period of two weeks from the date of his actual release, subject to furnishing a personal bond and two reliable sureties, each of the like amount, to the satisfaction of the concerned Magistrate. 7. It is made clear that immediately upon the expiry of the aforesaid two-week period, the Applicant shall surrender before the Jail Superintendent of the concerned jail. 8.
