No.SS-VI from petitioners land at Survey No.617, Nainakuppam Village, Ulundurpet Taluk, Kallakurichi District to a safe location near Ulundurpet-Senthanadu Main Road, after technical survey at its cost and compensate petitioner for the damages due to the fire accident on 26.12.2025 to 1 acre and 40 cents sugarcane crop. 2. It is the case of the petitioner that he is the absolute owner of 4 acres of land where he has been cultivating sugarcane crops after investing substantial funds. On 26.12.2025 at about 1.15 p.m. A fire accident occurred in his land, allegedly due to sparks emanating from the transformer erected in 2020, causing damage to 1 acre and 40 cents of standing sugarcane crop ready for harvest. The loss is estimated at Rs.1,25,000/- The petitioner contends that the transformer was improperly installed in the midst of cultivable land without proper feasibility or safety assessment, though a more suitable location was available near 60 feet Ulundurpet-Senthanadu Road. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 05.01.2026 seeking compensation and relocation of the transformer and no action has been taken by the authorities. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court. 4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that if the petitioner makes an application through online along with necessary charges, the respondents will consider the same and appropriate orders will be passed. 5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record. 6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the petitioner to make an application to the respondents along with necessary documents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of the same, the first respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks, thereafter. 7. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
