Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is a widow aged about 87 years and the unofficial respondent No.8 is petitioner’s son. Main assertion of the petitioner is that the respondent police are harassing the petitioner, without there being any legal cause. 4. On the other hand, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home basing on the Written Instructions of the Station House Officer, Machavaram Police Station, Palnadu District dated 28.07.2026 submits that 8th respondent’s wife lodged FIR in 4 Crime No.51 of 2026 of Machavaram Police Station, Palnadu District for the offences punishable under Section 118(1), 351(2) and 79 read with Section 3(5) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhitha, 2023 and with a view to investigate into the said crime, respondent/police called the petitioner’s son to the police station and they never called the petitioner to the police station. 5. Written Instructions of the Station House Officer, Machavaram Police Station, Palnadu District dated 28.07.2026 is made part of the record. 6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, respondent/police are directed not to interfere with the personal life and liberty of the petitioner without any legal cause. 7. Needless to state that the respondent police may go on with the investigation in FIR in Crime No.51 of 2026 of Machavaram Police Station, Palnadu District, in accordance with the law. 8. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
