Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for one year and six months and the case has recently been committed to the Court of Sessions, charges are yet to be framed as well. He further submits that the prosecution has relied upon 17 witnesses in order to prove its case. As such, the petitioner may be released on bail on any stringent condition. 2. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and draws the attention of the Court to the statement of the child who was an eye-witness. Page 2 3. Having considered the gravity of the offence, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail at this stage. 4. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. 5. Thus, CRM(M) 693 of 2026 is dismissed. 6. The petitioner would renew his prayer for bail after examination of the vulnerable witnesses are over, especially the child who was an eye-witness to the present case. 7. Learned Trial Court would overcome the stage of consideration of charges within a period of 60 days and, if possible, let an earlier date and time be fixed for examination of the said child who was an eye-witness. 8. All parties shall act on the basis of server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 9.
