Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 25.09.2025 in connection with Mohanpur P.S. Case No.236 of 2025, corresponding to G.R. Case No.1308 of 2025, registered under Sections 80 (2) & 3 (5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, now pending in the court of learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Deoghar. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the husband; though the victim has died in her matrimonial home within 4 months of her marriage, but she had committed suicide and the reason for death was that she was not agreeable for the marriage with the petitioner . 4. The learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer and submitted that there is direct allegation against the petitioner and there is also an allegation of demand of dowry and assault. 5. After hearing the learned counsels for the parties and considering the nature of allegation with regard to demand of dowry 2026:JHHC:10358 2 and a motorcycle and the fact that the victim died in her matrimonial house within 4 months of her marriage, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. 6.
