Mr. Vijay Singh Pal, learned A.G.A. assisted by Mr. Nikhil Bisht, learned Brief Holder for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. By means of the present writ petition, petitioner seeks quashing of impugned FIR dated 28.05.2026 registered as Case Crime No. 00109 of 2026, under Section 3/5 read with Section 11 of Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, registered at Police Station Kaliyar Sharif, District Haridwar. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case. It is contended that he was not present at the spot and has been arraigned as an accused solely on the basis of the confessional statement of a co- accused. 5. Per contra, learned State Counsel submits that 150 kilograms of cow progeny meat was recovered from the possession of the accused persons. 6. After arguing at length, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is ready to surrender before the court concerned. 7. Learned State Counsel has no objection to it. 8. In such view of the matter, the instant writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioner to surrender before the court concerned within one month from today. Till then, the petitioner shall not be arrested pursuant to the impugned FIR dated 28.05.2026, provided that the petitioner cooperates with the investigation. (Alok Mahra J.) 08.06.2026 Shiksha
