The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Hunterganj P.S. Case No.21 of 2024 for the alleged offences registered under Sections 18(b), 27(a), 28 and 29 of Sleeping Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act, pending in the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-II-cum-Special Judge, NDPS Act, Chatra. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the name of the petitioner has come only on the confessional statement and the recovery of opium has been made from Swift car which was parked outside the house of co-accused and the quantity is said to be 17.55 KG which is intermediary. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the State opposed the prayer and submits that the name of the petitioner has come only on the confessional statement. 2026:JHHC:10923 --2-- A.B.A. No. 1496 of 2026 5. Considering that the name of the petitioner has come only on the confessional statement and the allegations are there of recovery of 17.55 KG of opium from Swift car which is intermediary and in that view of the matter the petitioner is directed to surrender before the learned Court within two weeks and the learned Court shall release the petitioner on such terms and conditions or the sureties as the learned Court may deem fit and proper.
