DATE : 04.09.2026 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned AGP for respondent No.1/State, and learned counsel for respondent No.2. 2. The petitioner is a student who has approached this Court seeking a direction to respondent No.1 – Scheduled Tribe Caste Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Amravati, for expeditious adjudication of his caste claim towards ‘Thakur’ Scheduled Tribe. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner has invited our attention to the application submitted by the petitioner for verification of his caste claim towards ‘Thakur’ Scheduled Tribe. The said application is dated 17.06.2026 and is at record page No.17 (Annexure-B). 4. In the meanwhile, the petitioner was provisionally admitted to respondent No.3 – College under the Scheduled 2026:BHC-NAG:11754-DB 108.WP.6945.2026 2/3 Tribe category on 27.08.2026. The acknowledgment substantiating the aforesaid fact of admission is at record page No.34 (Annexure-E). 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner has further invited our attention to the remark contained in the aforesaid acknowledgment, which requires the petitioner to submit the caste validity certificate by the end of CAP-IV. However, since the caste claim of the petitioner is pending before respondent No.1 – Committee, and the petitioner is unable to produce the caste validity certificate for reasons beyond his control, he has approached this Court. 6. Mr. Madiwale, learned AGP, upon instructions, submits that respondent No.1 – Committee shall decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a period of four months from today. 7. In view of the above, we dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to respondent No.1 – Scheduled Tribe Caste Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Amravati, to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a period of four months from today. 8. In the meanwhile, respondent Nos.2 and 3 shall not insist upon the petitioner to produce the caste validity certificate until the decision is rendered by respondent No.1 – Committee. 9. The petitioner shall cooperate with respondent No.1 – Committee in expeditious adjudication of his caste claim and 108.WP.6945.2026 3/3 shall not seek any unnecessary adjournment. 10. Needless to mention that the admission of the petitioner shall be subject to the outcome of the caste validity proceedings. 11. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs. (RAJ D.
