01. Petitioner is aggrieved of two petitions preferred by the respondents against him under Sections 125 Cr. P. C. and Domestic Violence Act, in the Court of learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Mendhar [“the trial Court”], primarily on the ground of delay in the conclusion of the proceedings.
02. A perusal of the record of the present petition would show that both the petitions came to be preferred by the respondents in the trial Court in the year 2020 i.e, about six years back and till date, learned trial Court has failed to conclude the trial.
03. Mr. H. R. Qureshi, learned counsel for the petitioner, after brief
submissions, has submitted that he will be satisfied, if learned trial Court is directed to expedite and dispose of the petitions within a time frame.
04. Having regard to the limited nature of controversy and innocuous prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, present petition is disposed of with a direction to the trial Court to make an endeavour to dispose of both the petitions within a period of four months from Sr. No. 210

the date copy of this order is made available. Learned trial Court shall also explore the possibility of amicable settlement/mediation between the parties.
