WP No. 1901 of 2026 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT MADRAS DATED: 28-01-2026 CORAM THE HONOURABLE MR JUSTICE M.DHANDAPANI WP No. 1901 of 2026 AND WMP Nos. 1998 and 1999 of 2026 V.Karkuzhali Petitioner(s) Vs 1. For Petitioner(s): Mr.P.Suresh Babu For Respondent: Ms.Sharatha Vivek, AGP (P) ORDER Aggrieved by the appointment of the 5th respondent for the post of Independent Member for the consumer grievances redressal Forum (CGRF), Puducherry, the petitioner has preferred this writ petition. 2. The only ground taken by the petitioner is that the 5th respondent served as a member of the redressal forum of two different occasions. The petitioner is aggrieved that the 5th respondent was granted third term. This contention is liable to be rejected outright for the simple reason that the petitioner has not produced any materials to show that a candidate cannot be considered for more than two time as member of redressal forum. Both the petitioner and 5th respondent had undergone the same selection process. Just because the 5th respondent emerged victorious, his candidature cannot be questioned just because he has held the said post on two occasions before. The writ petition is devoid of merits and the same is dismissed. No costs.
