For Petitioner(s): Mr.V.C.Janarthanam for Mr.S.Thiruvengadam For Respondent(s): Mr.D.Ravichander, Spl.GP (R1 to R5) Mr.R.Gopinath for R6 Mr.Mohamed Sajid for R7 ORDER This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned orders dated 19.11.2025 and 18.06.2025 passed by the respondents 3 and 4 respectively rejecting the petitioner’s request for cancellation of patta standing in the name of the private respondents. 2. According to the petitioner, erroneously and illegally, patta was issued in favour of the private respondents, despite the pendency of the civil suits. In such circumstances, the petitioner had sought for cancellation of patta. The respondents 3 and 4 have rejected the petitioner’s request. The petitioner was having the benefit of an interim injunction granted by the Civil Court to protect her interest. 3. However, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the seventh respondent that the said interim injunction was in force only upto 16.07.2025. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 9307 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 5 4. In the interest of justice, since the civil suits are pending and since the petitioner was having the benefit of interim injunction from the Civil Court pertaining to the very same property upto 16.07.2025, this Court deems it fit to direct the petitioner as well as the private respondents to maintain the status-quo till the disposal of the civil suits in O.S.No.831 of 2025 pending on the file of Additional District Judge (Special Court for SC/ST cases), Tiruppur; and O.S.No.97 of 2025 pending on the file of District Munsif Court, Tiruppur. 5. The learned counsels appearing for the private respondents have also not raised any serious objection for granting the aforesaid direction. It is also represented by the learned counsel for the sixth respondent that the sixth respondent is dead. The petitioner will have to take steps to bring on record the legal heirs of the sixth respondent before the Civil Court. 6. For the foregoing reasons, the petitioner and the respondents are directed to maintain the status-quo till the disposal of the aforesaid civil suits, and it is made clear that no further mutation of the revenue records can be done by the official respondents till the disposal of the aforesaid suits. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs. W.M.P.No.10023 of 2026 is ordered.
