The petitioners claim to be the owner of RS Dag No. 1284 within Mouza – Unsani, JL No. 10 under Jagacha Police Station, Howrah. Petitioners allege that the aforesaid plots have been utilised for the purpose of construction of Kona Track Terminal. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that though the property of the petitioner has been utilised, compensation in respect thereof, has not been disbursed. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that though a representation dated October 22, 2025 was submitted before the respondent authorities, no decision on 2 such representation has been communicated to the petitioner till date. Mr. Talukdar, learned advocate, appears for the KMDA authority. The State is also represented by Mr. Banerjee, learned advocate. Without entering into the merits of the claim made in the representation dated October 22, 2025, this writ petition stands disposed of by directing the Additional Land Acquisition Officer, Howrah Improvement Trust, being the 5th respondent herein, to consider the representation of the petitioners dated October 22, 2025 and to dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioners immediately thereafter. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order along with a copy of the representation dated October 22, 2025.
