Mr. Suresh Chandra Bhatt, Advocate for the petitioner, through video conferencing. 2. Mr. Sushil Vashistha, Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. Petitioner was engaged on contract for discharging duties as Block Programme Manager in National Rural Health Mission at Sahaspur, District Dehradun in the year 2010, and he is still serving in that capacity. 4. According to petitioner, other similarly situate employees, including District Programme Manager and State Programme Manager were given benefit of increment in remuneration during Financial Year 2009-10 and 2010-11; however, that benefit was not given to the petitioner. 5. By means of these writ petitions, petitioner has sought a direction to the respondents to give increment to him for Financial Year 2009-2010 and 2010-2011. 6. Learned State Counsel submits that although benefit of increment is available only to regular employees, but, if what petitioner says is correct, then he can approach the competent 2026:UHC:4453 authority. 7. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by permitting petitioner to make representation to respondent No. 1. If he makes representation to respondent No. 1 within two weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken as per law, within four months thereafter. (Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J.) 03.06.2026 Navin
