Petitioner was not given benefit available to OBC candidate in the selection for appointment as Anganwari Sahayika on the ground that OBC certificate produced by her was issued in 2014, while there was a requirement that OBC certificate should not be more than one year old. 3. It is not in dispute that petitioner scored more marks than the candidate who was appointed. Petitioner has challenged selection and appointment of respondent No. 4 as Anganwari Sahayika at Anganwari Centre Ibrahimpur, Haridwar. 4. Since petitioner herself was at fault for submitting expired OBC certificate, therefore this Court is not inclined to interfere with the selection and appointment of respondent No. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has obtained fresh OBC certificate which was issued to her on 22.11.2025. 5. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed 2026:UHC:4435 of with a direction to competent authority to consider petitioner’s claim for appointment against a vacancy reserved for OBC category as and when selection is held for appointment as Anganwari Sahayika/Karyakatri in future.
