This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, whereby the petitioner Samiran Das has prayed for releasing him on bail, who is facing trial in Special Case No. 278/2024 pending in the court of the learned Special Judge, Kamrup (Metro) at Guwahati. 3. Out of 14 witnesses, 6 witnesses have already been examined. 4. The petitioner has already spent 1 years 7 months in custody. 5. I have gone through the statement of the victim girl. 4. Considering the long period of detention, the prayer of the petitioner is allowed. 5. It is hereby directed that the petitioner, namely petitioner Samiran Das shall be released on bail of ₹25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the the learned Special Judge, Kamrup (Metro) at Guwahati.
