02/10.04.2026 Heard Mr. Arun Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.C. to A.A.G.-V, for the respondents-State.
In this writ application the petitioner has prayed for a direction upon the respondents more particularly the respondent No.4 to issue a duplicate copy of the Gun License bearing Gun No.11403 since the petitioner has lost the original copy of the Gun License on 20.12.2021.
The petitioner has superannuated from the post of Dy. S.P. in the year 2020. The petitioner was granted a Gun License bearing Gun No. 11403. However, the petitioner claims that he had lost the original copy of the Gun License on 20.12.2021, for which information was also given to the police station.
It is the grievance of the petitioner that despite making representations before the concerned respondents, the duplicate copy of the Gun License has not been issued to him. In support of his contention the representations

which were submitted by the petitioner have been brought on record.
Considering the limited prayer of the petitioner and since the matter is under consideration before the respondent No.4, this writ application stands disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh representation before the respondent No.4, specifying in details his grievance, and if such representation is filed within a period of three weeks from today, the respondent No. 4 shall dispose of the said representation within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the representation of the petitioner.
This writ application stands disposed of.
