JUDGMENT : (per Mr. Manoj Kumar Gupta C. J.)

The instant intra-court appeal is directed against the order of learned Single Judge dated 15.05.2026 passed in WPSS No.1295 of 2026 whereby the petitioner had sought a writ of mandamus directing the respondent- university to consider his case for promotion on the post of Personal Officer within a stipulated time.

The learned Single Judge has disposed of the writ petition permitting the petitioner to make representation within two weeks, with further direction to the university to decide the same within four months thereafter.

The said direction has been issued after noting the contention of learned counsel for the respondent- university that although the petitioner had sought a writ of

mandamus but he had not enclosed any representation along with the writ petition.

Learned counsel for the appellant submits that the representations were already made by the appellant on 06.03.2026 and 28.04.2026 and the said fact was specifically stated in paragraph no.16 of the writ petition.

In case representations have already been made the appellant need not make fresh representation. The representations already made would be considered by the university as per the directions issued by learned Single Judge.

Subject to the said modification, the appeal stands disposed of.

Pending application, if any, also stands disposed of.
