JUSTICE MRIDUL KUMAR KALITA ORDER 09.05.2026 This matter is put up before the National Lok Adalat. The applicant/claimant, namely, Sri Santosh Ghosh is personally present before the Lok Adalat, along with his engaged counsel Mr. M. Talukdar. It appears that originally the MACT, Dhubri had awarded a compensation amount of Rs. 6,37,000/- along with an interest @ 7 % per annum, which has already been paid to the present claimant. Now the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement to pay an additional amount of Rs. 3,30,000/- to the claimant/ applicant by the insurance company. The insurance company shall deposit an additional amount of Page No.# 3/3 Rs. 3,30,000/- before the Registry of this court within a period of 45 days from the date of this order.
