The present writ petition is filed, aggrieved by the proposed action of the respondents in trying to demolish the petitioners’ houses situated in Survey No.321, Vidyut Nagar, Anantapur Town, without following the due process of law. 2. This Court, vide order dated 31.10.2013, directed the parties to maintain status quo in all respects including demolition, construction, alienation, creation of third party rights etc., shall be maintained until further orders. It was further made clear that this order shall not preclude the respondents from ensuring that no further constructions are made in the subject land. 3. The writ petition has been pending since the year 2013, and the order of the status quo has continued to remain in force till date. 4. Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed off, making it clear that respondent No.1 shall not dispossess the petitioners from the subject property without following the due process of law and strictly in accordance with law. It is, however, made clear that this order shall be subject to any action, if already taken by respondent No.1 in accordance with law prior to the passing of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
