Heard learned counsel for the parties. 2. The present writ petition has been filed praying for the following relief: “A. Issue a Writ, Order or Direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent University to permit the Petitioners to participate in Counseling scheduled to be held on 20.05.2026 to 24.05.2026 and the data processing which is to be held on 25th May, 2026 to 28th May, 2026” B. Issue a Writ, Order or Direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent to complete the Course of VIIIth Semester and declare the result at an earliest.” 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner fairly concedes that the petitioner was not fulfilling the eligibility for selection on the post of CHO (Community Health Officer) and, consequently, his participation in the recruitment process would not confer any right in his 1 2026:UHC:4472-DB favour to participate in the further recruitment exercise. He seeks leave to file a fresh petition in respect of the second prayer i.e. for direction to the University to conduct VIIIth Semester examination. 4.
