GP FOR SERVICES I The Court made the following: Whether the order is : Speaking Yes/No / Reasoned Yes/No Reportable Yes/No / Non-Reportable Yes/No 4 HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE NYAPATHY VIJAY W.P.No.4030 of 2025 ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of the Respondents in not sanctioning increment on completion of 24 years of service to the Petitioner under the Automatic Advancement Scheme as illegal and arbitrary. 2. The Petitioner was initially joined as Record Assistant and later was promoted as Secondary Grade Teacher on 13.04.1998 and working as such since then on regular basis. The State Government vide G.O.Ms.No.96 of Finance (Pay Commission-II) Department, dated 20.05.2011, formulated the Automatic Advancement Scheme for the employees of the State Government on completion of 6 years, 12 years, 18 years, and 24 years respectively, i.e., Special Grade Post Scale for 6 years, Special Promotion Post Scale 1-A for 12 years / Special Ad-hoc Promotion Post Scale 1-A for 12 years, Special Promotion Post Scale 1-B / Special Ad-hoc Promotion Post Scale 1-B (18 years), and Special Promotion Post Scale-II for 24 years. The Petitioner, working as Secondary Grade 5 Teacher since 1998, claimed the benefit of the Promotion Post Scale-II for 24 years as he has met the conditions prescribed for the grant of benefits under the said scheme and representations were given by the Petitioner on 13.04.2022 and 27.12.2023. As the representations of the Petitioner are not being considered, nor are the benefits being extended to the Petitioner, the present Writ Petition is filed. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents submits that the representations of the Petitioner would be examined and an appropriate decision would be communicated to the Petitioner. 4. Heard Sri B.P.Raju, learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Services-I. 5. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following directions: i) The Respondents are directed to consider the representations of the Petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. 6 ii) There shall be no order as to costs.
