Das, Adv. ------- 06/Dated:16.04.2026 The instant application has been preferred by the petitioner praying for a direction upon the respondents, particularly Respondent No. 2, to consider and grant promotion to the petitioner from the post of Assistant Store Keeper to the post of Store Keeper from the date on which the petitioner became eligible for promotion as per the rules and regulations and policy for promotion of the respondent CCL with all consequential benefits. 2026:JHHC:10920 2 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the petitioner is entitled to be considered for promotion from the post Assistant Store Keeper to the post of Store Keeper; however, his case has not yet been considered. Accordingly, interest of justice would be sufficed, if the respondent be directed to take a decision in this matter. 3. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that since the counter affidavit has not been filed, accordingly, the petitioner may be directed to file a fresh representation before the 2nd respondent. 4. Having regard to the aforesaid submissions, the instant writ application stands disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to file a detail representation before the 2nd respondent as early as possible. The moment, the 2nd respondent will receive the fresh representation, he shall decide the representation in accordance with applicable rule & regulation of the respondent’s company and take a decision by passing a reasoned and speaking order and communicate the same to the petitioner. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of 12 weeks from date of receipt of the representation. 2026:JHHC:10920 3 5. Accordingly, the instant writ application stands disposed of.
