The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Chanho P.S. Case No.187 of 2022, dated 27.11.2022 registered for the offence under Sections 279 and 34 of the I.P.C., Section 11(1)(a), (d), (e) and (f) of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 and Section 12(1), (2), (3) of Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act, 2005, pending in the Court of the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Ranchi. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is happened to be the owner of the pick-up van. He further submits that the allegations are made of carrying bovine animals in the said pick-up van. He next submits that the petitioner is having no criminal antecedent, as disclosed in paragraph 18 of this application. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the State opposed the prayer and submits that in a cruel manner, the bovine animals were being carried in the said pick-up van. 5. Considering that the petitioner is the owner of the pick-up van and he has got no criminal antecedent, as disclosed in paragraph 18 of this ( 2026:JHHC:11033 ) -2- A.B.A. No. 1697 of 2026 application and in that view of the matter, the petitioner is directed to surrender before the learned Court within two weeks from today and the learned Court shall release the petitioner on such terms and conditions as the learned Court may deem fit and proper. 6.
